What is an Oahu Luau?
A Luau is a Hawaiian party or feast. Luaus are normally accompanied with entertainment in the form of music and dancing. When you attend a Luau in Oahu you will see Hula (Traditional Hawaiian Dance) performed as well as other dances from across Polynesia. Hawaiian food will be served such as Kalua Pig, Poi and Haupia. The pig is cooked in an underground oven called an imu and comes out tender and delicious. Poi is made by smashing the stem of the Taro plant and mixing it with water.
